The Economy Mountain
In their presentation, the economy mountain unveiled their plans that focuses on transformation and sustainability within IFU (Intercessors for Uganda). Peace Akello Bukenya, leading the Business Mountain team, outlined their vision for a transformed business community through ethical leadership and biblical entrepreneurship, highlighting challenges such as high dependence on donations, untapped professional expertise, and low member participation. The team presented their strategy to address these issues, including the creation of Life Wealth Investment Group as a special purpose vehicle to drive agribusiness commercialization and food security. Key priorities discussed included investor mobilization, land acquisition, and the development of detailed implementation plans to achieve their goal of contributing 25% to IFU’s 2031 objectives.
Kingdom Business Development Roadmap
Peace presented a comprehensive business development plan for the Kingdom, outlining a roadmap from 2020 to 2031 that begins with reactivating mountain operations and launching agribusiness, with plans to scale operations and replicate across regions. The project aims to achieve 25% contribution to the IFU budget by 2031 and create a mature kingdom investment ecosystem.
On the other hand, Anthony, emphasized the spiritual foundation of the initiative, highlighting the importance of prayer and intercession through Intercessors for Uganda, while acknowledging potential risks including financial vulnerability and the need for strategic identity to prevent mission drift.
